Airport Overview
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport AUS
- also known as 'ABIA', has recently been ranked by an Airport
Service Quality passenger survey as third Best Airport in
North America, and comes in fifth compared to world-wide airports
of its size.
The Airporrt is located 5 miles southeast of the business
district of the city of Austin, and is the gateway to Central
Texas. The Airport can be directly accessed by State Hwy 71
(ABIA exit) and indirectly via Interstate 35 (6 miles from
Airport) and State Hwys 183.
With two long runways and an estimated 8.7 million passengers
a year, Austin-Bergstrom International is served by a number
of airlines offering numerous US nonstop destinations with
connections around the world.
It is advisable to arrive at the terminal no later than 90
minutes prior to scheduled departure time.

Austin-Bergstrom Airport has one passenger
terminals, called the Barbara Jordan Terminal. The terminal
is long but narrow, and has three levels - the baggage claim
& Arrivals level , the Concourse (Departures) level with
access to 25 gates, and & Mezzanine level housing two
airline lounges, a sports bar and offices.

International Airport (ABIA) meets the requirements of the
