Zipcar Releases Survey on Car Sharing Impact

Hertz to Acquire Donlen Corporation for $250 Million
PARK RIDGE, NJ - Hertz Global Holdings, Inc. and Donlen Corporation
announced on July 17 they have signed a definitive agreement for
Hertz to acquire Donlen. The transaction has been approved by

Manheim Index Declines Slightly in June
Wholesale used vehicle prices (on a mix-, mileage-, and seasonally
adjusted basis) decreased modestly in June from their record level
in May, Manheim reports. Wholesale used vehicle values before
the seasonal adjustment fell 1.6 percent. After the seasonal adjustment,
they declined 0.2 percent.

Rental car demand has spiked in northeastern Japan after the
March earthquake and tsunami, reports Mainichi Japan. Car rental
industry groups in Miyagi and Iwate prefectures estimate demand

is just now returning the vehicle, seven months later, according
to a Moon Patch article.

Nicholas Balzer turned himself in to the police after learning
that there was a warrant out for his arrest. The police were charging
